New Vehicles for Community Posts

New vehicles were handed over to the Nawai and Vatudradra Community Posts by the Minister for Defence, National Security and Policing Honourable Inia Seruiratu yesterday.

The two vehicles have also been fitted with communication capabilities where members of the public can contact officers travelling inside the vehicle at any given time.

The contact number for the vehicle posted to the Nawai Community Post is 7747 432.

The contact number for the vehicle posted to the Vatudradra Community Post is 77474 89.

The Hon. Minister for Defence while addressing the senior officers and community leaders present reiterated Government’s commitment in supporting the work of the Fiji Police Force.

Hon. Seruiratu while speaking to the Police officers present said, “Take responsibility in looking after this asset, as mobility is critical to the work you do.

You have a responsibility to serve the people better, that is the expectation from the Government and the Commissioner because our core business is to serve”.

Hon. Seruiratu reminded the officers of the need to uphold the policing profession by serving their respective communities with pride, respect and dignity.

He thanked the community members present for their continued support towards the Fiji Police Force.

“I extend our gratitude and appreciation for support provided to the Fiji Police and all Government machineries and assure you of Government’s continued support in providing the necessary capacity and capability support to the Fiji Police Force to help them serve people better".
