Closing of Corporals Course


Acting Chief of Policy and Internal Affair Officer (CPIO) Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Aporosa Lutunauga this morning reminded the Corporals Qualifying Course participants to learn on how to deal with changes.

A total of 161 Police Officers from around the country today graduated after completing their Corporal’s qualifying Course from the Fiji Police Academy.

ACP Aporosa reminded the participants that one of the notable change that they had experience what the Covid-19 pandemic.

“A good leader learns to adapt and manage the unknown with confidence, and embrace change as an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve the status quo,” said ACP Aporosa.

The Chief of Police Policy reminded participants that many changes have occurred within the organization and changes will continue to take place.

“As we experience change, it is important for us as leaders to build and maintain trust of those we work with.

Behaviors that build trust are the very behaviors that manage change.”

He acknowledged the participants for their contributions towards the Covid-19 operations and also reminded them of the task ahead which is the General Elections.

ACP Aporosa wished all participants well in their journey back to their respective stations.
