Prefects Induction Ceremony


"Leadership comes with responsibility".

This was the message delivered by the Chief Operations Officer Asssitant Commissioner of Police Abdul Khan during the Suva Muslim Primary School Prefects Induction Ceremony this morning.

ACP Khan while addressing the newly badged prefects reminded them of the important role they now have in being leaders.

"You have a lot of responsibilities to shoulder and you need to be positive, enthusiastic and be able to encourage and motivate fellow students'.

"Leadership is very challenging and you may lose some friends along the way as you will be required to stand up to your very own friends when they are in the wrong”.

ACP Khan also advised parents and guardians to prioritize time with their children as they need to be guided and nurtured until they reach adulthood.

One Hundred and twenty-nine students were badged including Library Monitors, Computer Lab monitors, Health Promoting School prefects, Flag monitors, and the Hostel Monitors.

Twelve-year-old Arman Numair Ali was elected the newly Head Boy for the School.

The son of the Reserve Bank Governor-General is advising fellow young students to always follow their dreams and not to lose hope as nothing is impossible.

Ali is the younger of two siblings and is originally from Suva.

Head Girl Zofisha Zareen Nisha's said it was important for everyone to be treated the same irrespective of religion, ethnic group or age.

Suva Muslim Primary School has a role of more than nine hundred students.
