Late CPL Vorakitaki laid to rest


The late Police Corporal Solomoni Vorakitaki was fondly remembered as a dedicated member of the Fiji Police Force, loyal to his last days before he was called to eternal rest.

The Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu and members of the Fiji Police Force paid their last respects to the late officer along with hundreds of family and loved ones to bid their final farewell.

The late Cpl Vorakitaki was called to eternal rest on the 3rd of February due to an illness.

In delivering the eulogy on behalf of the Fiji Police Force, the Director Criminal Investigations Department Senior Superintendent of Police SSP Mesake Waqa said the late Cpl Vorakitaki was an officer who stayed true to his oath to serve even as he battled through his illness.

He acknowledged Cpl Vorakitaki’s family in supporting the late officer in his work as it often meant time away from home and in selflessly sharing their father with the organization.

The late Cpl Vorakitaki served at the Samabula and Nabua Police Stations, Police Coordination Command Centre [PCCC] in Totogo , Community Policing and the CID HQ[ Anti Money Laundering Unit].

He is survived by his wife Josivini Talei Tuiwai and three children Hanisi Talei Tuiwai [12yrs] Iliapi Peni Vorakitaki [ 8yrs] and Marica Iva Vorakitaki [1 yr ]and 10 months].
