Public Health Infringement Notice

From the 6th to the 12th of October, 261 Public Health Infringement Notices were issued with failing to wear a face covering (mask) registered 122 reports.

Failure to wear a mask in a public service vehicle recorded 37 bookings, while other bookings were for breach of curfew and prior to the announcement on the easing of restrictions on the 10th of October, 19 bookings for contact sports were recorded on the 7th of October.

The Fiji Police Force hopes that all Fijians will keep in mind the Honourable Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama's words, in that we cannot afford a mad rush back to the carefree ways of living and doing business we once knew—at least not yet.

We should be focused on our adherence to rules that remain in place, not exploiting those that are being relaxed.

Please continue to comply with COVID-safe measures for the sake of your family and loved ones.
