The head of the New Methodist Church has offered the Fiji Police Force airtime through their Mai TV Channel in support of efforts made by Police to disseminate crime prevention awareness.
The commitment was pledged by the Founder and General Superintendent of the New Methodist Church Senior Pastor Atunaisa Vulaono during the Acting Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu’s courtesy call to the head of the Church this morning in Toorak.
Senior Pastor Vulaono says the work of Police and the Church are similar in that they are fighting for a common good in both the physical and spiritual wellbeing of an individual.
He added the Church has televised programs that the Force could use to either talk about social issues confronting the criminal landscape or use it as a platform to enlighten viewers and create self-awareness on Fiji’s laws.
The visit was also significant as the Church celebrates its 18th Anniversary.
