CENTRAL & HQ SEND OFF PARADE

The Chief Operations Officer's final Send off parade for the Headquarters and Central Divisions was held this afternoon at the Fiji Police Nasova Ground.

Chief Operations Officer (COO) Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abdul Khan while addressing the officers on parade also revealed that a police officer in the Eastern Division was the first officer to cast his vote via postal ballot.

ACP Khan said that was a reflection of the demanding weeks ahead for operations as officers who have been assigned duties for pre-polling will be casting their votes via postal ballot to ensure the smooth running of operations.

ACP Khan said as Headquarters Division, ensuring necessary support was available for officers on the frontline should be their main focus over the coming weeks.

The Chief Operations Officer said a team will be deployed to supplement operations in the Northern Division. He said operational readiness level is at its peak, considering the festive season and school holiday period.

He said all leave has been cancelled from the 1st of December with the exception of emergency situations, as operational demands require all officers to be on hand to assist.
