Know your neighbour Concept

Everyday Police officers conduct community policing visitations with the intent of forging partnerships with their respective communities to proactively address immediate conditions that give rise to public safety issues such as crime, social disorder and fear of crime.

The Know Your Neighbour concept is one such proactive measure.

Here are some reasons as to why it really does help to “KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOUR”.

1) They can offer immediate assistance during an emergency at home if you cannot get there on time.

2) When you know each other, you’ll be alert to suspicious movement of someone not familiar to your neighbourhood, and alert each other

3) When you need someone watch over your home while you’re away for a long period of time, ask your neighbour.

4) When you know your neighbour, you can create a chat group and share information that will strengthen your neighbourhood watch zones initiative.

The above and much more can be achieved when you “KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOUR” to create positive relationships that last a lifetime.
