Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ulaiasi Tamanisau recently paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Ratu Inoke Kubuabola at the Fiji High Commission in Wellington, New Zealand.
ASP Tamanisau is on a six month secondment to the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police Secretariat based at the Royal New Zealand Police Headquarters in Wellington.
The secondment objective requires ASP Tamanisau to significantly contribute to the goals of the PICP, including by assisting the integration of Pacific Community for Law Enforcement Cooperation (PCLEC) activities and operations, and various facets of project management for the PICP Secretariat that include project research and initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and reporting, as well as advocacy and representation in various PICP jurisdictions.
Since 2004, the PICP has supported a Seconded Pacific Officer (SPO) Program providing opportunities for PICP member jurisdictions to undertake secondments into the office of the PICP Secretariat.
