Proactive approach

Meet the members of the Wailevu Settlement Crime Prevention Committee in Rakiraki who work with Police in keeping their community safe.

Comprised of mostly cane and livestock farmers, the Committee Members are working with Police and would conduct patrols as a means of checking on their neighbours as a proactive means of keeping their communities safe.

There are many forms of Community Policing initiatives adopted throughout the Divisions either through neighborhood watch schemes, Know Your Neighbour campaigns and various existing platforms.
