Let your light show in your service

Staff of the Fiji Police Force Headquarters, celebrated their Diwali Festival today at the Police Headquarters in Centrepoint Nasinu.

The resounding Diwali message from the chiefguest Chief Planning, Research and Doctrine (CPAD) Assistant Commissoner of Police (ACP) Juki Fong, was for police officers to always let their light show in their service.

“Diwali is a celebration of light triumph over darkness, a celebration of good triumph over bad, and while we are happy to be part of this celebration, we as police officers must demonstrate this triupmh in our service to the people of Fiji,” ACP Juki said.

“We must be showing the light we have within us to others, and showing them the way to live peacefully with eachoether,” he said.

“Every year during Diwali celebrations such us this, we are reminded that our profession as police officers requires us to be a shining light to our various communities,” he added.

Meanwhile, during the celebration the Headquarters staff attended a short hindustani prayer, commemorating the event, and were treated to a variety of Diwali sweets with a tradional bhajan group, serenading the occasion with their music.
