The Fiji Police Psychology Unit together with Medical Services Pacific, UNDP Pacific Office in Fiji under the Fiji Police Force Support Project, just completed a 8 session of their Mental Health Awareness Program with Officers in Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki Stations and their respective Community Posts.
This was from 28th Septmeber to 06th October, 2022.
The joint awareness programs is a holistic approach aimed at promoting health and well-being of Officer's and strong families in dealing with mental health issues.
As Police officers are exposed to traumatic experiences when dealing with crime, stress, burnout and post-traumatic stress can impact officers' mental health, which also impact their families.
