Serious Accident

Traffic Officers are at the Nadi Hospital and at the scene of a serious accident near Navo, Nadi where a bus was allegedly involved in a head on collision with a locomotive operated by a 45 year old man from Moala Village in Nadi.

The incident allegedly occurred after 5pm whereby the bus driver failed to stop to allow the locomotive to cross at the said location.

With the assistance of National Fire Authority officers and members of nearby communities, the bus driver and more than 40 passengers were taken to the Nadi Hospital for treatment.

The 45-year old locomotive operator and a boy escaped serious injuries.

Investigations continue.
