FB Manager visit CID HQ

Police Officers based at the Criminal Investigations Department Headquarters were paid a visit by the Facebook Manager Trust and Safety, Law Enforcement Outreach Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands Kate Seiffert.

Mrs. Seiffert visit was assist in enhancing Police officer's knowledge of the services provided by Facebook in assisting Law Enforcement Agencies.

The Facebook representative stated issues can range fromTerrorism, Fraud and Scams, Transnational Crime, Cyber Bullying, Human Trafficking, Child Abuse and Exploitation and many other criminal activities.

Mrs. Seiffert said it is important for social media giants, like Facebook and all its associated social media apps, to work with law enforcement agencies in stopping people from exploiting each other while using the Social Media Apps.
