PICP SPOUSES PROGRAM

An important event held on the margins of all Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police Annual Conferences is the Spouses Programme.

The Commissioner’s Spouses Programme is an opportunity for the wives/husbands of Commissioner’s to meet and get to know each other.

Family support is considered an important coping mechanism for police officers who are often faced with traumatic and stressful situations in their line of work.

The 49th PICP Conference attended by the Chiefs, delegates and observers from 21 countries held at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa also discussed support towards their families with regards to their wellness and well-being.
