Mental Health Awareness Program in the North

The Fiji Police Psychology Unit together with Medical Services Pacific continued the Mental Health Awareness Program in the #friendlynorth with the Northern Division Command Group and later in the evening with Police Officer's families.

The joint awareness programs is a holistic approach aimed at promoting health and well-being of Officer's and their families in dealing with mental health issues.

As Police officers are exposed to traumatic experiences when dealing with crime, stress, burnout and post-traumatic stress can impact officers' mental health, which also impact their families.

This initiative is also in line with the theme of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police Conference "Workforce Well-being and Resilience" which will be held in Nadi from the 24th to the 26th of August.
