Police have recovered the body of the 3-year old child reported missing earlier this week in Nadi in what is belived to be an alleged drowning case.
As investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the child's tragic death, we are pleading with parents and guardians to be vigilant and alert to your children's activities at all times.
Chief Operations Officer ACP Abdul Khan says the tragic outcome reinforces the importance of supervision particularly with young children.
ACP Khan is again reiterating the need for anyone with the responsibility of looking after children to be alert and aware of what their children are up to, and to avoid distractions that take their focus away from their children.
A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain cause of death.
