Courtesy Call


The incoming United States Embassy’s Assistant Regional Security Officer Investigations Special Agent Jeremy Clark, paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho where both parties reiterated their interests in further developing existing law enforcement relations.

The Commissioner of Police acknowledged the ongoing support by the United States Government as a key security partner.

He added with the opening of Fiji’s international borders this week, the Fiji Police will continue to prioritize the safety of Fijians and visitors, and key to supporting Fiji’s efforts were local, regional and international law enforcement partners such as the United States.

Brigadier General Qiliho said as Chair of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP), he is also keen on strengthening working partnerships with the U.S and fellow PICP member countries through the regional policing body.

Special Agent Jeremy Clark assured the Commissioner of Police of the United States Government’s intentions of continuing security and Policing training programs that were halted during the onset of the global pandemic.
