Two houses in Nausori were destroyed in a fire yesterday afternoon


A three bedroom house and another home in Vusuya, Nausori were destroyed in a fire this afternoon. The house belonged to a 52 year old supervisor while the other property was occupied by a family.

Both properties were fully engulfed in flames when Police arrive at the scene.

It is alleged that the fire started from the Supervisor’s property and due to strong winds, it spreads to the other house that is owned by a 43 year old taxi driver.

The cost of damages for the first house is estimated at $120,000 while the other property projected at a cost of $90,000.

No injuries were reported.
