In light of concerns raised on the lack of response to a breach of domestic violence restraining order in the Western Division, the Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has reiterated his call to frontline officers to get the basics right.
After the video was shared, the Divisional Police Commander West had personally contacted the complainant whereby a report was lodged this morning.
The victim was advised and assured that officers are searching for the suspect who has previously been charged for similar breaches and produced in court.
Commissioner Tudravu says the lack of police response has been a problematic area, with managers at the frontline reminded to treat all reports with urgency.
Commissioner Tudravu has assured members of the public of concerted efforts to address basics of policing that continue to drag the organisation back, in as far as effective service delivery.
