More seizures of illicit drugs from the northern division

Community support to policing efforts have yet again proven successful following the seizure of more than one thousand plants believed to be marijuana.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu said officers based in Savusavu teamed up with officers conducting Operation Tagimoucia with members of the community, whereby they uprooted more than one thousand green plants believed to be marijuana in the terrains above Nawi village.

ACP Driu said concerted efforts on reducing the illicit supply of drugs in urban and rural areas with the support of the community continues throughout the five policing divisions.
