Child safety is everyone's concern

Annually on the 19th of November, International Day for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (PCAN) is commemorated followed by World Children’s Day on the 20th of November.

The Fiji Police Force is pleading with all Fijians to work together to curb child abuse in all forms, particularly within their own homes.

The safety and security of our children is a shared responsibility, and we urge everyone to do their part to ensure Fiji’s future generations are able to enjoy their childhood in a safe and loving environment.

The theme of PCAN 2024, “Every Child is one caring adult away from being a success story.

It starts with us”, aptly sums up the need for everyone to prioritise the safety and well-being of our children, so they can realise their full potential and one day be a proud contributing member of our society.

The Fiji Police Force will continue to support all efforts towards the prevention of child abuse and calls on all Fijians to do the same. ?
