More drugs seized

A raid conducted at the home of a 21-year old man in Wairuku in Rakiraki resulted in the seizure of alleged white and green drugs.

The raid conducted on Tuesday by the Western Division operations team, led to the discovery of several clear plastics containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana and clear plastics containing white substances believed to be methamphetamine.

Also seized were several mobile phones, syringes, equipment allegedly used for packing illicit substances and local and foreign currencies believed to be from proceeds of crime.

Arrested and taken into custody was the 21-year old suspect and three men aged 44, 24 and 18.

All seized substances have been sent for analysis as investigations continue.
