Suspect in custody for alleged murder

24-year old man is in police custody at the Totogo Police Station following the death of a 25-year-old man in Suva over the weekend.

It is alleged the suspect stabbed the victim on the night of the 2nd of November, during a dispute in Suva.

It is alleged the victim and suspect exchanged heated words leading up to the incident.

The victim was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he was admitted, and later passed away. A post mortem will be conducted today.

Investigations continue.
