Crime Prevention efforts

The start of the week has been busy with operations and meetings to strengthen partnerships with stakeholders towards crime prevention efforts.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP/O) Livai Driu said adopting proactive policing measures has been the main focus with increased visibility through mobile and beat patrols.

ACP Driu said the community policing approach will also assist operations in disrupting attempts by would-be offenders intent on instigating trouble for their own gain or to advance their agendas.

ACP Driu said Divisional Police Commanders have their own quick response teams and special operations teams that are looking into concerns raised about safety and security matters when they arise.

He reiterates that Police will not take incidents intended to cause harm and trouble lightly, and will come down hard on those involved, ensuring they are brought to justice.
