Funeral of Late Corporal Luba


A disciplined, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, people’s person and a devoted father were words used to describe the late Corporal Salesitino Luba who was laid to rest at Tokio Settlement in Saivou, Ra.

Members of the Fiji Police Force led by the Chief Planning and Internal Affairs Officer (CPIAO) Assitant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Aporosa Lutunauga presented the Commissioner of Police's reguregu to the family of the late Corporal Luba who was called to eternal rest on the 28th of May, 2022 at the age of 51-years.

Cpl Luba was enlisted into the Fiji Police Force on 2nd February, 2004 after successfully completing the Basic Recruits Course at the Fiji Police Academy.

During his 18-years of service, he served in various Police Stations and Community Posts in the Western Division, during which he completed various qualifying courses and attended workshops for crime scene management and photography workshop.

Delivering the eulogy on behalf of the Fiji Police Force was Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Meli Baleikorovatu said all officers who were fortunate to have worked with the late Cpl Luba can testify to his commitment and dedication to his work.

ASP Baleikorovatu said Cpl Luba was always determined to deliver his best that he never let any issues affecting him known or to impact his ability to conduct his duties.

Officers who worked with Cprl Luba said he would be missed as he always made time for others and his commitment to his children was admirable.

The late Cprl Luba is survived by his three children. May he rest in eternal peace.
