Korean Community members meet police

It was a great opportunity to meet with members of the Korean Community this afternoon in the Fiji Police Force Outreach Meeting with Korean Community organised by the Korean Embassy in Fiji.

The outreach meeting was an opportunity for the Korean community to engage with senior members of the Fiji Police Force on issues of concern with regards to the safety and security of Korean nationals and visitors.

Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho assured the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Fiji His Excellency Young-kyu Park of the organisation's commitment in ensuring the safety of Korean Nationals.

"Our partnership is built on an understanding of our shared concerns of the safety and security of our people - and the Fiji Police Force assures you all, of our continued support towards the safety and security of Korean citizens living in Fiji".

The forum also heard about the community engagements supported by Korean Nationals living in Fiji, and the Commissioner of Police has committed to engaging more through Community Policing.
