59 year old businessman in custody for possession of illicit drugs

A 59 year old businessman of Lautoka is currently in custody for allegedly being in possession of illicit drugs believed to be marijuana.

The Lautoka Crime Intel team following a tip off led to the raid of a house belongs to the businessman at Natabua in Lautoka and in the process found 2 clear plastic containing dried leaves.

The suspect is in custody awaiting drug analysis report.

And also in Ba, a 26 year old laborer is in custody following his alleged involvement in the cultivating of green plants believed to be marijuana.

The green plants ranging from 6cm-160cm have been sent for analysis while investigations continue.
