A team from the Ministry of Economy, Fiji led by the Permanent Secretary Mr. Shiri Krishna Gounder, paid a courtesy visit to the Fiji Police Headquarters yesterday and met with the Deputy Commissioner of Police Itendra Nair and senior Police Officers.

Mr. Gounder expressed his gratitude for the organization's roles during the COVID-19 pandemic, assuring him of the Ministry of Economy's continued assistance.

"The Finance team sincerely appreciates the commendable job done by your officers on the ground, and we, the Ministry of Economy, will continue to support the force in its daily operations in order to provide greater service to the nation and its visitors," he added.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police Nair thanked the Ministry for its continued support and specifically thanked the Ministry of Economy for providing the financial support needed to carry out our responsibility as the country's security institute.
