Meet Your Officers

MEET four of the five women officers serving the island of Kadavu.

They are from left Women Police Constable Miliana Naliva Leweniqila from Votua, Lekutu, Bua, Women Special Constable Selai Masa from Vunisinu Village, Dreketi, Rewa, Women Police Constable Bulou Jojiana Gavidi from Tavuki, Kadavu and Women Police Constable Kesaia Maramanivalu from Namalata in Kadavu.

All four women officers are married with children and enjoy serving in the maritime island where their work involves a lot of traveling, village visitations, and forging community relations through the Duavata Community Policing programme.

While WPC Gavidi and WSC Masa are back in familiar territory having attended Vunisea Secondary School, WPC Leweniqila is a former Suva Grammar School student while WPC Maramanivalu attended Bucalevu Secondary School before joining the policing profession.

For those of you traveling to Kadavu either by sea or air, you’re highly likely to meet these four women officers on duty at the island’s main point of entry.

Policing in Kadavu is challenging but they have adapted well and have built a strong working relationship with other Government heads and representatives.
