Meet Woman Sergeant (W/SGT) Ulamila Lebatuivuna Sereivalu, who is currently serving as the Station Officer at the Vanuabalavu Police Station.

W/SGT Sereivalu hails from Yadrana Village, Lakeba with maternal links to Naroi, Moala where she spent most of her childhood.

Since joining the Fiji Police Force as a special constable in 1988, she has served in various Units, Stations and Community Posts.

The 54 year old is thoroughly enjoying the last lap of her policing career strengthening community ties in her area of operation.

Having attended Ballantine Memorial School, W/SGT Sereivalu said her journey to becoming a member of the policing family was not an easy one, as she had to undergo the interview process twice before she secured herself a place as a Special Constable.

The mother of four says women should never be afraid to speak up, and should always fight to achieve their dreams.
