New Vehicle for Narcotics Bureau

In support of the work conducted by the Fiji Police's Narcotics Bureau in the war against drugs in Fiji and the Pacific, the Australian Federal Police handed over a vehicle to assist with current operations.

The Australian Federal Police's Senior Liaison Officer Detective Superintendent Adrian Morton while handing over the keys to the Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho, reaffirmed Australia's support in assisting the Fiji Police Force's efforts in the maintenance of law and order in Fiji and its supporting role to fellow Pacific law enforcement partners.

Det. Sup. Morton said the AFP places great emphasis on the importance of strengthening partnerships as the principle of law enforcement of protecting the community remains the same irrespective of whether you're serving in Fiji, Australia or the Pacific region.

The Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho thanked the Australian Government and Australian Federal Police for their continued support.

Brigadier General Qiliho said the working partnership between the FPF and AFP has yielded many positive outcomes that have benefited both Fiji and Australia as well the Pacific region.
