FIJI POLICE WIVES TAKE RAF BY STORM
The ‘Ready Action Force’ compound became a hustle of activities on Fiji Day not because there was a mishap instead there was an army of ladies present to meet in their Inter-formation tournament for the Fiji Police Wives.
The games which saw more of integration and a cheerful spirit between women from different divisions- was an occasion supported by the Fiji Police.
The mixture of different colored uniforms stood out from the distance.
The Games was opened by the Commissioner of Police on Thursday afternoon followed by the Wives AGM.
It was also closed by the Commissioner on the afternoon of Fiji Day.
In addressing members of the Wives Association - the Commissioner of Police- Commodore Esala Teleni reminded them of the rare insight they were to the Fiji Police Force.
Commodore Teleni said- women were the backbone to a family, to an organization to a community and it was important for one to remember how special a woman is and the rare factors that come with the parcel of love displayed by a woman.
He further added it was important to have the support of Police Wives in the Arena of work of an Officer in the Fiji Police.
40 Teams took part in the one day FPF Wives Inter-formation.
The Games which had to change venue in the last minute will be held in Levuka- next year.
