Officer in Charge Bua/ Macuata, Inspector Patemosi Uwate was chief guest at a recent Blue Ribbon Campaign at the Batinikama Secondary School.

Speaking to the children during the launch of the programme he told them that, "things are becoming complex and sophisticated in our societies more than ever before through our own making....and we are not honest enough to blame ourselves."

"Children are precious assets to our community; they are the dreamers of the present; they are the builders of the future," said IP Uwate.

"Therefore education is the powerful weapon to promote civil liberty and freedom in any democratic society in order to ensure a brighter future for our children." Besides academic pursuits, Batinikama Secondary School also aims to develop well rounded pupils by offering a holistic and well balanced education through the various school programmes thus the thought to integrate Blue Ribbon Programme.

"Therefore in all these attempts the pupils can thus reap the full benefit of the educational programme provided by the school and that the variety of programs including the Blue Light Programme is aimed at fulfilling the vision of the school to nurture future leaders of our country."
