More than a hundred class eight and seven students of Holy Cross Primary School in Taveuni took part in their cadet pass-out parade last Thursday.
The cadets surprised their parents and guidance including their teachers with their precise foot drills and march never seen in Taveuni for a long time.
Co-ordinated by the police officers serving in Taveuni Police Station, the students marched with precision accompanied by the Fiji Police marching band.
Chief guest at the pass our parade – Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua challenged the students to be successful in life. He told them, he attended class one and two in Wairiki and enjoyed his time there.
He urged the students to be hardworking and persevere in order to attain high things in life.
This was the first time cadet was being introduced in Taveuni.
