New Deputy District Police Commander/ Northern Superintendent of Police, Viliame Yacabiu has issued a new directive for office workers in the northern region regarding the safety of banks and bankers around the Northern Region.

Office workers will now be conducting bank patrols on Mondays and Fridays in a bid to secure safety for banks as banks are normally busy during these two days.

Inspector Operations, Northern Division Command Center, Inspector Sovita Moceituba said that this move supports the Peoples charter which aims at providing a secure safer environment for investors and also building their confidence in the country.

The operations have started on Monday 11/07/11 where personnel are doing, bank visitations and assisting of bank security officers in ensuring safety for their customers.
