Prime Minister of the Republic of the Fiji Islands, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is currently on a tour in the North to inspect developments on the Northern island of Vanualevu.
Police in Vanua Levu are providing personal escort to the Prime Minister and his entourage.
Commodore Bainimarama yesterday visited the Nadogo Fisheries Department in Wainikoro with the Tui Nadogo and his people.
Before this visit the Prime Minister had also opened a new center in Labasa to cater for disabled people in the North.
"It will be a centre where medical and physiotherapy services can be provided, a centre for counseling, a centre where sports can take place, a centre for vocational and educational training, a centre where people living with disabilities can interact with each other, and indeed feel at home," Commodore Bainimarama said. He added the opening of the center is part of government's commitment to give practical and tangible rights to people living with disabilities.Commodore Bainimarama later launch the new Vodafone 3G network in Labasa yesterday afternoon.
