On average 20 percent of all people killed in traffic accidents in Fiji are aged under 15years.
And to curb this problem Senior Superintendent of Police Mahesh Mishra said that teaching safety skills to children can provide lifelong benefits to society."Absence of traffic education can leave children exposed to unnecessary risks," he said.
SSP Mishra added that the traffic officers had joined hands with the students and teachers for the awareness programmes of road safety tips on our roads.
“In coordination of activities and clearly defined responsibilities and ownership will lead them to a better path in future,†he added.
