Ready Action Unit (RAU) Faith rugby team of the Fiji Police Force have vowed to keep the Commissioners Cup for the next six years.
Team Manager RAU Faith, Eastern Region Officer in-charge ASP Kasiano Vusonilawe said his champions are working harder than ever now to retain the title and the Cup.
“The next game is against the Northern rugby team and we are not taking this challenge lightly, said ASP Vusonilawe.
“We will retain the cup for the whole year and the next six years to come,” he said.
“Last year, we lost the game to North but this year no stones will be unturned and we are going to come back with victory.
ASP Vusonilawe is confident of a victory after RAU Faith beat Eastern Knights by 39 to 10 on May 28 at Nasova grounds.
RAU Faith features in the Suva Rugby Competition as the Police Blue team and so have had good preparation playing against top teams in Suva.
They leave for the North on June 14 and will defend the title four days later at Subrail Park.
“This year our prep is triple. We have to make good selection of players to take up the upcoming challenge,” he added.
The Commissioners Cup challenge is a selection process for players to be recruited into the team that will represent the Fiji Police Force to the 2010 Sukuna Bowl Challenge.
