Five men were arrested following four separate cases whereby dried leaves believed to be marijuana were found in their possession.
On Saturday, information was received, whereby a team of officers searched the house of a 41 year old man of Namotomoto, Nadi and found a plastic bag containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
The day before two separate incidents resulted in three men being arrested after they were found with dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
The first case was reported in Nadi Town when an officer based at the Nadi Police Station whilst on beat patrol noticed a 24 year old man of Nakurakura, Nadi acting in a suspicious manner.
A search was conducted whereby 5 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana was found in his possession.
In the second incident also reported on Friday a team of officers from the Rakiraki Police Station whilst on beat patrol searched two men aged 22 and 24 years old of Namuimada and found 12 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana in their possession.
Yesterday a team from the Labasa Police Station raided the house of a 40 year old farmer and found 2 containers with plants believed to be marijuana.
The suspect also led the officers to his farm where they uprooted close to 200 plants believed to be marijuana.
