Police officers in the western division were reminded by the Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua that they have an important role to play in the lead up to 2014 general elections.

The commissioner of police addressed the officers while returning from the opening of Nadarivatu Hydroelectric Scheme.

While some of his officers conducted a workshop for junior NCOs and officers in the division, Brig-General Naivalurua told the officers that it was their role to ensure everything is right for elections to be conducted.

He was assisted in the presentation by Director Operations and Divisional Police Commander west and other officers.
