A 73year old woman is the country's latest road fatality.

The deceased was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 42 year old of Vomo Street Lautoka.

The vehicle travelling from Sigatoka towards Nadi when the driver allegedly fell asleep before reaching the temple end roundabout and drove bumping the rear to the cane truck.

The 42yrs driver of Vomo Street is admitted at Nadi hospital under observation.

The 73 yrs deceased was rushed to Nadi and transferred to Lautoka Hospital where she later died at 1330hrs.

Investigations continue.
