Lautoka Police personnel had their field day yesterday following a hectic operation done during Tropical Cyclone Tomas.

The police officers went out to do community work as they use this opportunity to reach out and assist the vulnerable members of the community.
In their respective house colours, team green and white were deployed to clean up Lautoka Special School while team Blue and Red were sent to do a much needed clean-up at the Old People’s Home.

Both the institutions were thankful to the Police department for their effort and highlighted the good changes in the Fiji Police Force community approach.

This community outreach is also a build-up to Lautoka’s declaration of Crime Free which will be done on June 22, 2010.
