The Fiji Police has recognized the need to address Customs fraud, Prostitution, Money Laundering, People trafficking etc.. and today marked it’s decision on expanding Government’s Boarder machinery to help our people.

Members of the Fiji Police Force based in Labasa Police Station and Northern Division Police Headquarters under the leadership of Regional Police Commander SSP Isikeli Ligairi visited several squatters settlement last Saturday.

The Fiji Police Force is expected to receive more government assistance in the next few years says Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.

The Prime Minister revealed this at his National Address on Fiji’s Strategic Framework for Change and the 2010 Budget Framework at the Convention Centre in Lami this morning – 1/7/09.
