tot namakaThe Fiji Police Force has been taking steps over the past few months to build a culture of respect for human rights within its force through a series of human rights and gender training.

A last in the series of the training workshops is underway in Nadi this week for eighteen members of the Force (Sergeants, Corporals and Constables) from Ba, Rakiraki, Tavua, Nalawa, Namarai and vatukoula.

road closedThe Fiji Police Force will be temporarily closing off certain roads during the duration of the 3rd Pacific Islands Development Forum meeting scheduled to be held at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

1) The closure of Victoria parade from Southern Cross Rd junction to Ratu Cakobau Rd junction from Tuesday 1st Sept to Friday 4th September 2015 from 0830hrs to 1700hrs daily during the duration of the meeting.

logoAs our children prepare to head back to school tomorrow the Fiji Police Force is seeking assistance in ensuring the third term begins without any major incidents.

The Fiji Police is urging parents and guardians to again advice their children going over all necessary safety tips.

We are anticipating that our roads are going to be very busy before and after school hours and one area of concern is their safety while travelling to and from school.
