Nausori Crime Free launch will have surprises

The community and the police officers are working hard to make the upcoming launch of Nausori Crime Free a big success.

The National Coordinator for Crime Free, Superintendent of Police (SP) Tuapati Volau told Eastern Region senior officers that Nausori launch could be much better then Nadi or Suva if everyone works hand in hand.

Recruits anticipate great challenges

Its day 1 at the Fiji Police Force Academy (FPA) and most recruits admit the next 16 weeks will be a challenging one for them.
 
It would be 16 weeks of intensive training and learning for the 122 recruits who marched into FPA yesterday.

Police target fish sellers

The Fiji Police Force Community Policing department has taken a proactive approach to stop people from using poison to catch crabs and fish in Suva.
 
The stand comes after people were seen selling only fish heads at the Suva Market while the rest of the fish have been discarded for reasons known only to the sellers.
